Question Shocks & Struts

I'm looking to order Shocks & Struts for my 2008 Eclipse Spyder GT. I usually use RockAuto when ordering parts. When looking at these products I found both Front Struts and Rear Shocks, but the fronts did not come with the coil that I see when looking at my vehicle. I'm wondering if anyone could help me find the correct parts like a kit of all 4 together. Or can I use the coils that are on my fronts? I have attached my shopping cart to show what I have so far which I believe is right. I'm not going to be installing by the way, either my brother who's a mechanic or an auto shop down the road from me.

Generally you can find what is called a "quick strut", which costs a little more, but comes as an assembled unit, with the strut, spring, and hat on all together as one.

It's nice as you get fresh springs, even though springs outlive struts, but also that you don't have to pay the shop rate to have someone take your springs off, and put them on a new strut. That's not to say you can't re-use your springs though.

Rock Auto does sell them assembled already, but just for the rear it seems. You'll have to find someone else if you want to get quick struts for the front as well. In your situation, you're gonna have to pay extra to have someone compress the springs and take them off then re-install them, or pay the extra for new springs, and then pay someone to install them. I vote that you just re-use your old ones if they have reasonable mileage and no signs of cracking

Thank you Sabertooth! I appreciate the reply and that's what I was double checking that Rock Auto didn't have a complete quick strut kit for the front. I have looked at other websties, but cannot find a quick kit for the fronts I will keep looknig I guess. I might just re use the springs, I don't believe they're cracking but the miles could deffiently be up there like 150K.

If you ever planned to lower the car at all, there are lowering spring options from about half an inch to 2.6 inches. Now would be a great time, and your brother could help you assemble them before taking it to a shop, or doing it all himself.

(struts on this car are actually one of the easiest, luckily)

Thanks for the information I don't think I'll be lowering it though. Might have the auto shop near me do the suspension, he's always busy. The annoying part is he always has time to do his in laws cars but never mine.
