Improve GS engine or Convert to GT Engine

Whats up lady's and gents, been a while since I posted but let's see if I can get some help. I have a 2012 GS semiauto with almost 200k on the engine and I want to buy a new one with less mileage. Is it possible/worth it to put a GT engine in,what should I look out for and things like that. Thanks

I would not advise swapping a GT engine into your car, is it possible? Yes, is it actually reasonably possible? Hell no
Why? It requires you literally swap everything, and I mean everything from a donor car to make it happen, you’ll just be keeping the shell pretty much
You’ll be swapping engine, transmission, wiring, computer modules, you name it
It’s been done, like once at least, but it’s not something I’d advise

The 4 cyl is simpler, more reliable, better MPG’s, and longer lasting, and responds better to mods anyway, I’d stick with it

I’d advise some bolt on mods such as the DC Sports CAI, RRE aftermarket exhaust header, an ECU reflash with Fastworks (Requires Tactrix 2.0), and maybe a muffler or something if you want as far as power

Good tires, brakes, and suspension/shock/coil over upgrades are something to keep in mind as well as they are very important

General maintenance is important, make sure you change the timing belt at least!!

If you're looking to make power then turbo your GS. There really is no way around it. Heard that some really smart ppl are working on a turbo kit for the GS and another toothy individual is working to build a 300whp NA engine. Im in line and saving for those projects.

I'm working on a 1000whp GS project slowly.

I am a parts dealer as well, and knowing what the GT parts cost for it, the amount of work, and that it'll still be a worse car, I wouldn't suggest it at all. The GT motor is for people who want 280whp with basic mods. GS for big power builds.
