Unidentifiable Part

Hey, gang, I recently purchased a 2007 Eclipse Spyder (5 speed, 4 cyl) and noted the attached lying loose in the trunk Can anyone help me identify what this is for and pardon my ignorance if I posted this in the wrong place as this is my first try with this forum? Thanks so much...Lori

Confirmed - travel mug lid insert - thanks to all for responding. Also, I did stop at a local Mitsubishi dealership and it had their parts/service department stumped as well!
