pcfreak4 has a spectacular aura about
Is that $600 for the timing belt parts? That’s the issue, those parts cost about $250 not $650

The labor at $450 isn’t too bad

Not sure why it's blurry , maybe cause it resized . No it's $849 for the "pro timing belt kit" The 4 hours labor at $125/hour I can stomache . And Mr.Lube tried to sell me a coolant change for $418 so I don't mind the $40 in coolant lol . It's just the timing kit that gets me , oh and the tensioners and pulleys etc were extra not included in the $850 kit !

Ya I know , I wasn't terribly confident doing the job myself and shops here refuse to use outside/supplied parts . Every shop quoted me the identical price for the timing kit . Gonna have to learn how to do it cause I'm never paying $1500+ for a timing belt again

Oh my shop let’s me bring any part I want, he doesn’t let many ppl do that because he said most ppl bring parts that don’t actually fit their cars and don’t bring everything they need lol

Ya I couldnt find a shop that would use my parts , but it's weird cause this guy used the muffler I had ordered and said if I bring in lowering springs he'll install them , but wouldn't let me buy my own timing belt kit . . . Next time I'm gonna attempt it myself and worst case I can't do it and have to pay someone to finish it . But with $1500 on the line im pretty sure that incentive enough to figure it out myself lol .

I was quoted $1100 for a head rebuild last year. So for $1500, you get two tries at it, and if you need up, you have a fresh head in that cost, lmao
