4G75 3.8L Engine

Does anyone know of any remanufactured or good condition used 4G75 3.8L MIVEC engines? I spun a rod bearing and the machine shop is booked for 3 months, so I’m gonna have my mechanic just swap the motor.

Thanks!

Bro honestly I have no clue. My oil light came on and literally two seconds later the car died and wouldn't turn over. The next day I got it to turn over and it sounded awful lmao. I'm thinking I had a bad oil pump

Yeah bad oil pump or cracked pickup tube or something it sounds like

Oil light on definitely means it lost oil pressure for some reason

Were u using good oil filters? What kind?

I actually bought the car 2 weeks before it broke down. I didn't even drive it 3,000 miles and they got the oil changed right before selling it, so I never got around to checking what filter.

We’re usually able to source these engines pretty easily with low miles but they are a little pricey. What’s your budget you’d want to spend on a new engine? I can get a quote. Easiest if you’re in so cal too

Looks like he can get one with 74k miles for $1400 or one with 49k miles for $2000. 90 day warranty and he said $450 and we can pull out and install the engine for you in case you were wondering.
