Hello everyone!

I own a 2012 GS hatch with one of the clear lip spoilers on the rear. I really like the look of the oem GT spoiler with the break light shown here

https://mitsubishiforum.com/forum/4t...yay-nay-46852/

I have found a few aftermarket manufactures making them but I have seen a few websites claim this would not fit my car because it only fits the GT coupe. I thought the GT models were also hatch backs?

Was hoping someone with a bit more 4G knowledge could help me out.

Thanks!!

You'd have to add wiring off your brake light circuit if you want to add another brake light. Not a big deal

It might be a big deal for the cruise control system

I highly doubt it. Worst case you'd just use it to trigger a relay, but people have added brake lights before off that circuit.

The issue is taking away the load

So this would mean there’s not really a fitment issue, it’s just electrical. I wouldn’t be doing this myself I would have a shop doing it for me so I would hope that the wiring job isn’t too complicated for labour.

Thanks for the information, I’m happy to hear that it would fit the car. It’s confusing how the websites are showing two door coupe models, 3 doors and the convertibles when filling out my GS on the fitment tool they have. Unless I’m incorrect in saying all 4G models that are not convertibles all have rear hatches.

This makes me excited looking forward to ordering it! I was disappointed thinking it wouldn’t fit.
