Complete Eclipse GS 2.4l I4 Upgrade Thread

I seen something similar to this in the GT section. I noticed we don't have one and even though a lot can apply from that thread to our cars also, we need a "go-to" thread for all members w/ a GS to come to for ideas on what to do with their ride next. This could also help prevent a lot of "I'm new what mods should I do" threads. I will update this thread constantly and would love for members to chime in and help make this perfect. These may not be the best prices but they are the upgrades themselves.

by the way you can also get wiseco forged pistons through importperformanceparts.net
7 bolt 4g63 rods will work for upgrading the rods.
ARP 4g63t 7 bolt main and cylinder head studs are also upgrades for factory ones

Do these need to be custom fabricated to fit or direct bolt on?

Maybe that should be added to the title? "Complete Bolt-on Eclipse GS", because there's a crap ton of 4g69 parts for the Lancer that can mostly bolt on but you do have to try a little harder.

That is true, but what off the Lancer 4g69 engine will directly alter the performance of ours?

You guys did a fantastic job writing this up! Good work all the way around the engine stuff is golden. Their isn't anything you can really "add" to forced induction accept that bolt on manifold sense that's the only mass produced part . Hopefully soon that will change.. I would rep you guys but my phone won't let me

Edit: one thin you could add is a link to the blueprint of the cutout to install the stiffy

Too bad Ripp Mods doesn't make the 4G69 headers anymore otherwise, you could put that too on the list.
Under the "Weight Reduction" section, you have "RRE or OBX Headers" and "the RRE Underdrive Pulley" but I'm guessing that's a typo.
You could put in the intake manifold for the prev generation Lancer Ralliart. It's more or less PnP.

It's time to e-Rape your ass! #nohomo

Haha I thought it felt a bit sore lol, I'll add the intake manifold, and I put the pulley and headers under that section also because they do both weigh less then the originals thus "reducing the weight" some. The headers drastically weigh less due to no catalytic converters. Also a CAI weighs less then the stock airbox. Not necessarily specific for weight reduction but wanting to give people an idea of what does effect our heavy ass cars weight lol. I'm going to reword it to make more sense now haha. Thanks tho

I went ahead and added the ripp headers since they are out there somewhere and people could find them used possibly. Also reworded that section in the weight reduction part, let me know what you think.
