Ok so I have been avoiding this because my engine bay is a hot mess:noplease:, and the car is nowhere close to being finished. Plus I still consider myself pretty new here, but it's time I make a thread about my ride so I can update it along the way.:runaway:

A short history about my vehicle, it is a 2006 Eclipse GS with the sound package. I purchased it around June 2010 used with 58,000 miles on it. Before me the car had two previous owners but they seemed to take good care of it. When I picked up the car it already had the windows tinted and a riced out muffler on it. Nothing else about the car had been modified. I really didnt change a single thing on this car till the end of Feb. 2011 that is when the fun started.

Here is a list of mods and what I can think of so far that has to do with this car. I will slowly update this list as I begin to add more and creep towards a more finished product. A few side notes I would like to share is I dont have a muffler rite now, just the downpipe all the way to the rear wheels, I just need 2-3 feet of exhaust piping and a I can begin the welding process for the finished exhaust. Also all of this work was done 100% by me and my room mate. Car has never been to a shop under my ownership for anything.

Here is a link to my Build Thread to go into more specific Install talk/pictures http://club4g.org/board/gs/20871-project-turbo-gs-lots-pictures.html

Heh I mite have to but damn I need to buy you a beer or something for throwing me all those body parts my way for 100% free. it hasnt gone forgotten, and as much as I appreciate the offer on the rims I already have the some picked out. Size, Tire and all. but its top secret :X they are gonna look super sick but its about 325$ a rim so it wont be for a while. I mite have to take you up on the other rims for the time being though, shoot me a price down the road and well talk.

if you need help with your build when you get back on the side away from the shop be sure to let me and my boy know. We have all the materials you need to rip the living hell our of your car and then some.

Ok guys, well it's been almost 4 longs weeks since I have had my car. Yesterday I got it back from the body shop only to find a massive nail and flat tire on my way to work. After I got everything sorted out I got my baby back today and boy did I miss her :). I am sooo behind on mods and financially drained from the insurance hassle it's not even funny. But hey it's not all bad, they re painted my front end and instead of Plasti dip it was done gloss black. When they told me this I didn't think I would like it but damn does it look nice. They layed a layer of clear coat over everything so it looks and feels like one layer. Also they replaced both front headlights and fogs even though they didn't need to be. I'm really happy with the final product I snapped two quick pictures of the front end before I ran to work. EVery single thing about my front end is brand new, and its nice because owning a used 06 the front end had some scratches and what not.

I have a car meet to go to Friday night so I'm going to scramble to Plasti Dip the rear bumper and smoke the tails. Also I got payed today so after I pay my bills if I have the dough I'm getting the AEM Wideband (which will replace my innovate LC-1) and an oil pressure gauge. After that I can finally throw in my pillar cluster. I'm back in business more to come soon!

I figured I would post a quick update:

So I want to share what a casual drive is like on with the car. If you are patient and watch all the way till the end you will hear a much more clear exhaust unlike my first video and the shut off and end idle. It was on my way home and I did a few pulls in various gears just fooling around like I do when I'm on rural roads. Most of what I did was 100% wot but some pulls were up hill and some were down hill if you pay close attention you can tell. Enjoy :)

It is man let me tell you, just knowing a little monster sits rite above 3,000 rpm I love it. Helps motivate me to get out of bed and drive to work haha, I spend soo much money on gas because this is my DD but I don't care :) ...maybe just a little but it's hard to control.
I love video updates!!!
Sometimes words can't express it, I didn't even feel like explaining what was going on in the video. Just wanted to let you all hear the revs, obnoxiously loud waste gate, and the bov.

Makes me want a turbo soooo bad, pulls hard bro and sounds great!!
I really can't wait to get my new muffler it's going to be straight through piping and going to sound amazing. I'm really happy already with how the 3" sounds. The Turbo makes it a whole new animal but at the same time it provides a whole new set of complications. I still have a very long way to go as far as getting the car running smooth, but one weekend at a time I'm getting their.
