12V power outlet in the center console

My car didn't come with the center console power outlet. So I removed the tray and found the wires. I got a universal power outlet and the positive fits in fine but the negative won't fit in the slot given. I was wondering if there was any other to connect that piece. I can't post pictures because of the 5 required posts.

Do 5 posts right here, nobody will mind. It's only on here to stop bots

I'm guessing you're talking about the L shaped plug though, which is a mitsubishi plug. You can however get some female spade connectors crimped into the wiring, and slip those on to most universal plugs.

These guys

They will slip onto the ends of a universal plug, as is shown on this one

I moved the 12v outlet from the front console and stuck it in there then used the open spot up front to install an aux port for the factory head unit. I know that doesn’t solve your issue but maybe give someone else idears. 😉

I like that idea. It's a nice spot.

I'd drill beside it though and keep the outlet functioning
