Arrow oem taillight free mod

if your tailights blink on the outside of the housing lens, you can make them blink in the centr of your brake light ,,,and the reverse light will be brighter on the out side of the lens where the blinker used to be located. all you have to do is remove your taillights and just swap the location of the sockets from the outside to the center and vice versa,,,this is a free mod that will also make a nice improvemnt to both functions and it looks awesome compaired to the oem taillighting ....give it a try and you dont even have any issue with socket fitment ,the holes and sockets interchange perfectly....i did this and it looks great and its so easy its unbelievable the way it looks....hope you enjoy the results as much as i did

Im always exploring new things to be done on my ride...hate to blend in,it really does look sweet when done this way and the blinker is alot more noticeable to other drivers.....the lens in the middle makes it a brighter blink.

This is a cool way to be different and it does work on aftermarket tails, did it on mine 2 years ago never changed it, it looks really good with LED blinkers

I did this mod today, haven't seen them at night yet but I'll check them out now. I really wanted to do this because my reverse lights are terrible with my tinted tails, let's hope they shine brighter.

Just did this. Love the blinker on that big center circle. Love the backup light on the corner of the lens where HOPEFULLY more Grand Prix drivers will see my little silver GS backing out. (But who am I kidding, really?)

I'm keeping her this way! Pics to follow.

Monster difference in the blinker. This looks even better when the light isn't drowning out a camera sensor.
Before (passenger side):

After (driver side):

I think there is less for the backup light, but as I said before, I think it's positioned better.
Before: (passenger side)

After (driver side):

Cool mod, thanks!

Looks nice! I'm wanting to do mine but I can't take those damn lights off (so much simpler with Honda...)

Mine are absolutely stock. I'm not sure how well this works with aftermarket lenses but I'm sure it depends on the lens.

Hey deathbyphoenix, it's too stinking easy to remove the tails. You just have to know where to poke them. I'll post picks soon but there is an access panel in the trunk where you get to a nut, then you remove or flex the jamb trim to see a bolt. Both are 10mm.

Guys, there's a problem, my white light wont fit in the outer socket (after checking it, I turned it off and checked again), then it stopped working, I haven't done the other side yet but it's driving me crazy... And I'm afraid I might need another bulb, no the bulb is not burnt, the film is good, but it just won't fit/turn on

rotate the housing to line up the slots...it will go ,they are the exact same size sockets....and that bulb is probably faulty.
