Aero Kit Installed

Installed my aero kit the other day....really happy with the way it turned out and how it fits in with what I have planned for the car.

06-08 Aero Kits - $749.94
MZ313444 - AERO KIT, 5 PC KAPLANA BLACK
MZ313445 - AERO KIT, 5 PC LIQUID SILVER
MZ313446 - AERO KIT, 5 PC ULTRA RED
MZ313447 - AERO KIT 5 PC STILL BLUE
MZ313448 - AERO KIT, 5 PC PURE RED
MZ313449 - AERO KIT, 5 PC SUNSET
MZ313450 - AERO KIT, 5 PC FROST WHITE
MZ313451 - AERO KIT, 5 PC TITANIUM
MZ313513 - AERO KIT, 5 PC PRIMER

Try calling your dealer and stating that another dealer in (insert city farther away than the dealer you're calling) is willing to get it for cheaper (tell them $720) and that you would like to bring your business to the dealer you're calling. Tell them you were hoping to spend no more than $750 and ask if they'd honor that. Good chance that they will. If not, call other dealers in your area. Saving $700 is worth driving an hour or two to get your stuff.

I'm jealous. my body style is quite boring...other then my GSX spoiler which kind of makes it better then stock....I have a black-out kit waiting to go on...but who knows when it will actually get on there....gotta finish like a million other things first before I can come with the cash needed to get that on there properly. may even re-paint the whole car...a dark blue or matte black or something...we'll see.
but looks perfect man. well done.

of your 'up next' list for mods, go w/ some sick-ass rims. nothing makes as big of difference as some mean-ass, sick-ass looking rims.

Anybody actually able to get an Aero kit for that price from their local dealership yet? I'm about to hop on the phone and call mine.

I bought my aero kit for around that much and I didn't even ask, but if they are around $800, I'd try to save some more money. They will budge as they have some margin in there

My wife is now yelling at me for being such a terrible haggler. I called up a dealership near me and the parts guy asked me what I would be willing to pay for it and I just blurted out $800. He said he'd check with his manager and then 5 minutes later said sure. I probably could have gotten it for even cheaper. Maybe $600?

How long ago was this? The stealership gave me the olde "bait and switch" when I got down there they were trying to order the primered one for $800. I drove 2 hours for nothing! They told me they couldn't order the part painted anymore and that Mitsubishi no longer sells the aero kit painted. Looks like I'm going to have to order it online for $750 and have a local body shop paint it.

I know this link is old, but its deff worth a shot for you...
its a black one... $300 new in box....

Body kit for 2006-2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse New in Box - $300 (Thomasville) in Greensboro, North Carolina | USA all ads

( for a while there, the titanium pearl one was $650 from mitsubishiparts.net. it was also on ebay for a while for $700)

I called when I was going to order mine and they said they had a couple primed ones, but they were more money... it might be cheaper for you to buy a titanium pearl one then get it repainted. I saw it go as low as $580...for the titanium pearl one....

They were also in the for sale section for about $100-$150 per piece...if you want to piece your own together...

OP - Very Nice ride!

It looks great.

Can I ask how you installed the rear?
The instructions are a little hard to follow for the rear...

I'm gonna post this here for the other 2 and others looking...

pics...
notice the numbers of the page, I wrote on them...

side skirt - oem - aero kit - instructions.
Aero Kit - Side Skirt Install - Instrustions Photos by rygdogg1 | Photobucket

rear - oem - aero kit - instructions.

l'll get it to PDF soon....

I dont have the instructions for the front fangs, but I'm sure you get the idea. They have to be pretty easy.

Hey RyGuy,

Thanks for posting that ad. I called them up and they got my hopes up saying they might still have it and then a day later called me back saying they had sold it. I wish they still had it, I would've purchased it in a heart beat.

no prob man, I was gonna call them up for you too.
That would have been perfect for you. even if you had to pay shipping.
Sorry to get your hopes up.
Just keep an eye out, I see them pop up every so often...I'll keep an eye out for you too.

( the H32 titanium pearl was on ebay a few months back for $475 shipped, the place had 4 kits. all gone now though. )

( the H32 titanium pearl was on ebay a few months back for $475 shipped, the place had 4 kits. all gone now though. )
Hey thanks for offering to do that. I would've paid $300 and whatever shipping it would've cost to get it out to me. That would've still been cheaper than anything I've found so far. It's funny, Mitsubishiparts.net has every kit available except the one in black. Does anybody know why this is? The site keeps telling me Part No. MZ313444 (Kalapana Black 5 piece Aero kit) has been super-ceded by Part No. MZ313513 (Primered 5 piece Aero kit). However, any of the other ones show up just fine.

Yeah, that would have been perfect for you.

Dont quote me, but I think there were paint issues with the Black and H32 titanium pearl....
I think thats why they pop up so cheap every so often... I could be wrong, but I vaguely remember a issue/recall or something with H32 and Kapalana Black....

mitsubishiparts.net was selling the H32 for $480 + $150 shipping, for a while there... think it went back up though...
( you have to call to get shipping quote)

The dealership I went down to gave me a sort of generic response about painted kits getting scratched up during shipping and that's why they no longer ship them painted anymore. I don't have any evidence to disprove that, but I did find it a little fishy (but I generally tend not to trust dealerships). I'll give them a call, their "About Us" doesn't really say who they are, but they have a Facebook page with 800+ likes, so I don't know.

Nothing really too fishy about that. It is pretty much due to scratches. The fact of the size and shape could affect that too. It's hard to trust how well things are shipped these days (IMO).

Well, doing some Internet research, on one of the wholesale Mitsubishi sites, can't remember if it's www.mitsubispartsdirect.com or Genuine Mitsubishi Parts and Mitsubishi Accessories, when you search for the 06-08 Aero kits by part number, they list everything in stock except the Kalapana Black and the Sunset Pearl one. It keeps saying that the part numbers have been superceded. So I don't know what the issue is on the Kalpana black ones.

Just throwing this out here, someone will correct me if I'm wrong. I've been to the pick n pull recently and it ***LOOOKS*** like its held on primarily by plastic push pins.
The attached image is from the factory book, like I said, primarily push pins. They are very strong though. Dont be fooled.
