I spray painted it red and didn't like the color so I painted it black but it didn't look like I expected it to so I tried flattening the whole dash with sand paper and spraying some more paint on it. know its uneven it has to many coats of paint and it just looks horrible and I think it's easier to buy a new dash. Or would there be a solution instead of dropping 300 dollars.
The blue On the dash. My computer just broke yesterday and I'm using an iPad I'll post pics as soon as I get my computer back. Would sanding it all down work or would you not advise that
Since its a rubberish material I wouldn't sand it, unless it's a last resort, but use paint thinner or ascetone first, that should work, and did u use vinyl paint?? Or basic Paint??
Oh ok, yea, it won't turn out that good with basic Paint, and cracks very easy, I used duplicolor vinyl paint, can buy it at pretty much any auto parts stores, autozone, O'Reillys etc
I would pull it off and paint it that way, alot easier,
And use alcohol or paint prep cleaner before painting it,
Use 4-5 coats of paint(10-15 mins in between coats)
Wait a few hours then 4-5 coats clear( if you want too), let dry over night then install next day
this is new to me .. about interior stuff .. can u please show me or were to look how to took the dash a part .. I really appreciated a lot .. thank you ,,,,
Hey cm does That rubber peace pop right of? I tried a couple Yeats ago but didnt wanna wreck it, then was satisfied with black,, still am Just curious, and who knows one Day haha
If your talking about the dash peice yes it does, all you do is remove your radio faceplate, gauge pod, and 2 AC vents, them start pulling up at one corner working towards the other side
the duplicolor vinyl/fabric paint, same as the dash pad, just sprayed the blue, then taped it off and sprayed the black,
and my next project is the headliner lol, and agree black and blue!!!!
Yep, i originally was planning to reupholster it, but its to much work for that, going to paint it since everything epse has turned out so good, and all the little trim Peices im going to dip to match everything else
my god... I need that done to mine but in orange... I swear to god I have yet to find an orange close to sunset pearl that I want to use on my car. Did you take the seats out of the car to do them? I'd assume so, otherwise it'd be messy.
yea definetly take the seats out or any part you want to paint, take it out of the car, trust me, other wise you will have little paint specs all over the inside of the car lol
