Ok so I have been avoiding this because my engine bay is a hot mess:noplease:, and the car is nowhere close to being finished. Plus I still consider myself pretty new here, but it's time I make a thread about my ride so I can update it along the way.:runaway:

A short history about my vehicle, it is a 2006 Eclipse GS with the sound package. I purchased it around June 2010 used with 58,000 miles on it. Before me the car had two previous owners but they seemed to take good care of it. When I picked up the car it already had the windows tinted and a riced out muffler on it. Nothing else about the car had been modified. I really didnt change a single thing on this car till the end of Feb. 2011 that is when the fun started.

Here is a list of mods and what I can think of so far that has to do with this car. I will slowly update this list as I begin to add more and creep towards a more finished product. A few side notes I would like to share is I dont have a muffler rite now, just the downpipe all the way to the rear wheels, I just need 2-3 feet of exhaust piping and a I can begin the welding process for the finished exhaust. Also all of this work was done 100% by me and my room mate. Car has never been to a shop under my ownership for anything.

Here is a link to my Build Thread to go into more specific Install talk/pictures http://club4g.org/board/gs/20871-project-turbo-gs-lots-pictures.html

Update: colder spark plugs in transit along with AEM uego wide band and reinforced couplers/T bolts to be ordered next paycheck. Plasti dipped the rear bumper and gas cap yesterday, going to tint the rear tail lights and spoiler this weekend along with black out back logo. I debagedit as well but when I did I let the goo gone sit too long and it dripped down onto my plasti dip so I have a big fat 2inch drip mark on it look Teri bad so imma have to redo it all.

Also this morning I locked my keys in my car on the way to work and they said the locksmith would take 45 minutes so to kill time I washed and spray waxed the bitch then drove it in the grass for a few quick pics after he did his thing. It only cost me 35$... Not too bad.

Goo gone vs. Plasti dip /fail

I think I'm gonna take her out to the 1/8 drag strip tonight... Maybe. Depending on if my friends go or not but if I do go I wil def get some numbers and possibly vids to post up because I'm just as curious as anyone sale to see what I'm pushin.

That's all for now, pce

I chose to leave the flat black and skip sanding, its a mixture of being lazy and it going with the plasti dip non gloss kinda look. Also ignore the ugly rim, its from the previous owner

^ ^ yeah I am going to black ou tthe emblem, just as I finished that day it started to rain really hard otherwise it would of been done. I think I am also going to black out the spoiler as well what do you think? I would do much more to the cosmetic side (like rims and coilovers eyelids ect) but every single Penny I can spare is being dumped straight into engine performance and building a rock solid platform for my engine rebuild next year. Thats when the real fun begins ;)

I have half a bottle of nightshade left and I am just going to pop the spoiler off (check the tutorial on how to its under tinting the tail lights) and im just going to try and match the shade of black as best I can with my rear tails. Also I changed my mind about the flat look, I want my tails to be kinda glossed so I am also going to wet sand with 2500 grain paper then use clear coat so I can get them glossy and sliiightly lighter in shade.

werd yea i saw that thread. I want it to match the gloss black paint that i had done but i don't wanna wait forever again in order to have it match. Leaning towards doing it myself or dropping $ on that spoiler delete on autocity but i definitely feel like that would be a waste of money especially for how much it goes for.

So I come home tonight and look whats waiting at the door

SICK! I'm going to change them out, clean the IM, and clean the TB all at the same time. In the next few days before the meet this Friday, im pumped this is long over due and should of never been neglected in the first place.

ok well I dont have much to say about updates, but the weather was so great tonight I had to go out and cruise and catch a few pulls on film to show you all. Sorry that my hand is so shaky its hard :/ hope you enjoy. :woohoo:
I have my oil pressure gauge in transit along with engine cleaning I have been doing and spark plugs so things are going smooth for the most part :wiggle: Still need to wet sand and clear coat the lights... when I get around to it lol

Named one of the vids wrong (more like 40-70 pull), meh whatever >.<

So I'm taking my car to the shop tomorrow for all the body damages and repairs...'took it out last night and pushed it pretty hard on some back roads here is the result when I popped my hood. A very very pretty, but also very very hot glowing turbo and manifold :)

It was pitch black out I mean pitch black when I took this picture, it had to be the coolest thing I had ever seen it lit my whole engine bay up with a red glow.. the picture really doesn't do much justice.

It's not bad, but it's not good to do this all the time. I mean I pushed the car really hard. I know this stretch of road and I was in MiVEC for the duration of the road. The heat wrap did what it was suppose to do and contain everything but the actual turbine and the shaft in the Turbo was glowing bright lava hot red, they are built to handle extreme temps like that.. I have just never seen it in person (only in magazines) so I had to snap a pic!

Like the ride man I figured I'd leave some love on your build thread.... You gs guys got so much room in the engine bay lucky
thanks man, that means a lot coming from you and youre beastly build. Yeah I have seen a GT engine bay vs ours and we have sooooo much room to play with. it's so easy to get to all the things I need to and see if anything is going wrong, you all have a cramped mess.

^^ the manual guys do haha...the autos are so tight it crazy.

awesome to see the kit working out for you Trevin, can't wait to see it at about 15lbs XD.
Yeah I can wait for my engine rebuild, as long as it doesnt pop till next tax return ill be good to go ;) I cant be doing drives like this all the time though. Again it was like pitch black when I pulled over and turned my car off, I popped the hood and was like ooooooo soo pretty . The whole turbo and manifold glowing bright red lighing up black
