Outstanding work! That touch of orange peel will really bring a 3D look to it. I've only seen one or two paint jobs like that. You need to post pics when it's ready!
Thanks,

I got that 2012 car brand new, fully loaded, for $23.5 thanks to my now, late wife, who kept saying "No" to the sales manager until he went so low that I couldn't walk away.

I still have my 2012, (less than 11K miles on it), and I have to sell it because I have two cars. Problem is, I don't want to sell it because my 2016 4-w Jeep Grand Cherokee can't even come close to the speed, (I've been driving for 48 years, 5 years professionally, and I'm a very safe, but fast driver . I've always been that way and always had a car that could suit my driving style).

Anyway, I hate the color silver when it's on my car and even considered repainting it differently. Then I had to look at the fact that I would need to change the registration info and some people said the resale value would go down.

Obviously, you had yours repainted but done by some pros who could maintain the color and still make it look good. Of course, those other additions definitely help to sell that color but I still think the paint job you have is done by some specialists.

Can you tell me who painted it?

Thanks,

Rich

cmturner So turbo came in today, but came with a T4 housing instead of T3, so they are trying to get me the correct housing.... And the wait begins again... [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]

cmturner So about new years, started having a humming noise when in second or higher every time you pushed the gas pedal, slowly kept getting louder and louder,
Turns out my F200 clutch was bad, so replaced it with a Fx350 clutch,
Also replaced all the bearings in transmission (even though could not find anything wrong with them).
But regardless looks like it has resolved the issue

wingclip Very Nice! I'm afraid I'm not up to snuff on the way they rate the power of engines these days. Can you tell me what the rated HP @ X-Torque is on that Eclipse?

As best as I can tell from the pics, the engine was originally a 4-cyl, (i.e. not the GT). My 2009 (when I had it), and my present 2012 Eclipses were both GT models.

They were quick but if you weren't ready for it, the front-wheel drive would rip the steering wheel out of your hands when hammering the accelerator from a dead-stop. I never did like that about the car.

When I had my 2009, I used a digital stop watch, (with assistance from the passenger), and took 3 runs for a 0 to 60 test. It averaged 5.8 seconds. That Eclipse was about as basic as you could get when it came to optional equipment.

Then in 2012, I traded it in for a new 2012 Eclipse GT that was fully loaded. I mean, everything that Mitsubishi could squeeze into the Eclipse, was in that car.

I was really surprised when I did the same 0 to 60 test (x 3), and it was considerably faster than the 2009, which didn't have anything in it, (except I think it may have had the Rockford Fosgate system).

Anyway, the 2012 averaged 5.2 seconds in that 0 to 60 test and I didn't expect it to be that much faster. In fact, I would have almost bet it would have been slower.

I bought both cars brand new and tested each one within three months of the purchase date. (They both had less than 3K miles at the time of the tests).
FWIW,
Thanks,
Rich

cmturner So installed K sport coilovers over the weekend, still adjusting them right now, and also just received in some Moog front and rear end links that I will install hopefully today/tomorrow.
And alignment after that, I did notice that the front wheels do point inward just slightly, so will have to adjust that so I can drive safely to the alignment place

cmturner Playing with some carbon fiber,
Going for the forged carbon fiber look,
Do wish I would of went with a thinner chopped carbon fiber though, but coming out good so far,
This was after first leveling sanding and another coat of resin

Still have lots of coats and sanding to go

It actually wasn't hard at all, took about a hour total,
Single wire for the reverse signal, and came with the fuse plug pigtails, so really it was just all running wires

cmturner So the OEM mirror completely died on me, no lights, dimming or anything (even tested it on the bench and still nothing)
So bought a aftermarket one, it has reverse camera and dash cam all in one,
Also gives your GPS speed as well.
Alittle pricy but well worth it
