Tanabe DF210 Sustec (Lowering Springs) Suspension

Here are Before and After Pics of the Tanabe DF210 Sustec (Lowering Springs) Suspension Installed on my 2007 Spyder GS (Wheels 20" Tires 245/35).

This is the drop I was told I sould expect:
1.4" in the Front and 1.5" in the Back.

3 days After the installation I measured:
Almost 1" in the Front and 1.5" in the back

(About the difference in the front, I Donīt know if the initial drop was given using the Eclipse GT as reference car, which must be heavier than the GS in the front because of the bigger engine. Therefore the drop on the GT must be more. Also, I read that the springs wonīt affect the ride quality and shock lifespan that is why I decided to go with Tanabe over Eibach)

I have been driving for 2 weeks with the Tanabe Springs and I can say that the ride is very very smooth. At the begining I was worried because the rear tires looked very close to the fender but I have done some tests and I have not felt, heard or seen any evidence of contact between tire and fender.

I hope the Tanabe Springs would have been a good choice, Pics:

I need some feedback on these springs... I've got a GT and was looking at these tanabe's cause pro-kit are on backorder but I don't know if the 1.4/1.5 drop applies to the GS or GT, cause I don't want more than 1.5" and ruin my shocks/struts. If anyone is running these on a GT can you please let me know how much of a drop you got.

Thanks

this thread is 2 years old. I don't know of anyone else who has the tanabe springs on this forum.

If you are looking for an alternative to the Pro-kit, may I suggest the Tein H-techs. they are $218 shipped from jmautoracing.com. price is just right, and I enjoyed them very much while I had mine. they are, of course, a hair bumpy as all lowering springs that cut the bump-stop will be, but they are certainly a good alternative.

See here:
https://club4g.org/board/vendor-forum...uper-sale.html

The only thing is that the H-techs may be a HAIR lower then you are wanting. they say a 1.9" drop, but I think it's a little under that - maybe more like 1.75" or so. but certainly not too low unless you live in the boon docks and road quality is an issue.

If you are adventurous, I'd say get these Tanabe's and try them. Tanabe is a good brand from what I have experienced and heard. Maybe someone else can chime in on this, but I've never heard anything bad about this brand.

good luck, and do let us know how it all turns out - especially if you get the Tanabes/Sustecs.

Im riding a 19" wheels in my GT '06 and I want to upgrade my suspension. I being doing a lot of research but Im confused; should I go with the Eibach "Pro-Kit" springs with the strut and sway bars or with the Tanabe springs with the strut bar and the under brace??

Honestly man if you're gonna do that much to your suspension I'd buck up for coilovers. But if you insist on going with springs both the eibach and tanabe have the same 1.4/1.5 drop, both high quality. I was gonna get the pro kit but they were back ordered when I wanted them so I'm running the tanabe df210s and they're great. If I could go back I would have spent the extra for the coils, especially with the group buys going on.
