Stuck, my friend! Now i'm going to change that unreadable yellow to something easier on the eyes. (I use the white background)

Might want to add that the stock hub size is 67.1 (for GT anyways), in case someone might need hub rings.

Just bought an '09 Eclipse GS. Needs tires. A tire salesman said that I should check to see if P225/55R70 will work instead of the stock P225/50R70. Said they were much cheaper. Can I do this? I'm just a little low on cash right now and the car wants tires very soon.

do you think a 25mm offset on a 18x9.5 rim would fit? according to the fit guide on the site im using they will and also could i stretch the stock tires to fit the 9.5in rim? its not to big of a difference iv seen some pretty big stretches and would it be safe if i could? this is my first car and im planning on doing alot im still learning on what TO and what NOT TO do. does anyone know if that would work?

My friend is convinced the ten spoke 18's on the '09+ eclipse and lancer etc. will not fit any 4g made from 06-08. I really feel that he's trolling me or dumb. I noticed it says '06+ safe to assume that means '06-'12, no?

If its the same lug pattern it will fit. A rim is a rim. It's not like that Rim is specifically for that eclipse only.

I've never been serious wheel shopping before. Those links in the OP are priceless! The offset calculator at 1010tires.com is perfect.

I'm looking for perfectly flush. I added 20mm spacers to my rears (17" gs stock rims) this weekend and that, to me is the perfect place for that wheel. When I go shopping for rims, I want to maintain that perfect flush look.

Here's what I am looking for:
18". 7.5 to 8.5 width. Less than $200 per. Beyond that I'm wildly picky about look and color. Prefer 5 or 7 narrow spokes, somewhere between gunmetal and chrome.

I've seen comments like, "forget spacers, just get new/wider wheels". Do you find that wheels are offset to whatever they're offset, and you just use spacers as needed; or is it probable that you can find that wheel with the perfect offset, and won't need spacers?

More than likely you can find that wheel with the perfect look. It's all a matter of how wide you go and the offset of the rim. If that's your price range XXR has a great selection and they look good. You can also get the offset you want.

PCD Bolt Pattern - 5X114.3
Offset - +20mm
Hub Bore - 73mm
I think that 20 is quite an offset for our cars. Others will have a different opinion. I think your wheels will stick out of your fenders, if that's what you are going for, that's great!

Stock GT (from top of thread):
18x8", +46mm offset

Plug the figures in at 1010Tires.com Wheel Offset Calculator

Your 9.5" wheels at 20 offset will have 7mm MORE inside clearance (wheel to wheel well), and the outer edge of the wheel will stick OUT 45mm more than stock. The GT stock rim should sit about 10mm from the outside of the fender, so this 9.5" offset 20 rim should stick out about 35mm from the fender.

How that will work with your setup, and with which tires you put on them, is up to you!

Mine are 18x10 +25 and barely stick out. Slightly cambered helps that though.

Yeah, yours would "stick out" 1mm more than his 9.5" at +20. It's probably more like 13mm from rim to fender (stock), meaning without help from camber he'd stick out 45-13 = 32mm. Slightly more than an inch, and camber would minimize that.

Eclipse2011 is on a distinguished road
Hi
I am interested in getting 19' wheels n tires. My question is do I just get 19x8 with a bolt pattern of 5.114.3 and should I keep my off set at between 35 to 45? Will this damage my fender. And also is the front the same as the back. I have been reading this thread and I hope I am understand this logic completely. Go easy on me; I am a female. Much love.

Is there a list somewhere of what rims from other cars that will fit ours?
I see on eBay that apparently rims off a Lexus will fit the 06-up Eclipse?

comatoast is an unknown quantity at this point
Alright. I'll ask even tho I'm gonna feel stupid.... My eclipse gt wheels are 17s. But everywhere I look says 18x8. So I'm guessing someone at one point switched rims?
