Progress Technology Springs:
Front Rear
1.7" 1.8"
255 lbs. 210 lbs.

Eibach Sportline Springs:
Front Rear
1.8" 2.0"
314 lbs 257lbs

Now you know why the ride sucks especially if you are on stock struts. What's even worse is that with those stiff springs, your struts will blow out a lot sooner.

This is why I went with Progress springs. BTW, someone should probably sticky this info because you'll never find these numbers by googling. I had to call both manufacturers. Eibach put up a fuss because they don't like to just give out this kind of info.

do you have any good information such as this, but related to struts. I am looking to go with the sportline springs over coilovers but what are the best struts to add?

they won't "blow" but they will wear out a lot faster.....and by that i mean.....instead of them lasting 7 years, they will last 2.........it won't ruin them outright, it takes time.....the lower the drop, the faster the absorber goes out....and I believe ACI is the only one with new absorbers listed for our car.......might as well get the coilovers......

If I can't afford coils...., what should I buy with springs? So they don't wear out. Do I buy new struts with the springs?

If you get Works they come with new bumpstops and the drop is only 1.5 it should be fine on stock Struts, and Shocks. KYB was suppose to have some aftermarket ones coming soon. Don't know if they have been put it out yet, but that is something else you could look into

Same here, but when it closed in on the 3 year mark my struts went out. I'm now looking at getting the Tein's since I'm about to move to a snowier climate.

no, you cut the bump stops so you don't feel every bump in the road......and the springs come with instructions on where to cut the bump stop. the Sportlines actually come with new bumpstops for the rear....

^ yeah I read a comment you left about us not even telling u to lower it.

I don't like my ride not lowered. I learned to hate the wheel gap because of my friend's TOOO LOWERED cars. I'm like the only 4X4 while cruising

Don't get sportlines. JUST DON't GET IT. Some dude came into the tuning shop by my house the other day and scheduled his 09 eclipse to have the Sportlines taken off ASAP and the STOCK springs put on. He's going with prokit now, just like myself. Eibach PRO KIT is a whole different story, +ve on handLing, +ve on looks, +ve on practicality, +ve on money well spent. Just better marks all around on PRO KIT Springs.

There is absolutely no benefit or justification for SPORTLINE springs, period. They are HORRIBLE springs.

JUST DONT EVER LET ANYONE YOU KNOW EVER INSTALL SPORTLINES. EVERYONE I KNOW CONFIRMS THEY RIDE LIKE CRAP AND ARE TOO LOW FOR THE 4G

my sportlines are just fine, the ride is not crap and they look great, as I've said countless times before, most people that speak poorly of the sportlines, don't have them themselves, they're going on someone elses word, how can you voice your opinion if it's someone elses? i mean, maybe that person is an idiot, or he just doesn't know what it was supposed to be like....I don't think I could take one persons word for it and hold on to it like gospel if I didn't know for sure myself.........and I've also said before that the people that do have sportlines on here, have never complained once about them

Initially i was looking at the sportlines but went with the pro kit instead. I had mine installed last week..rides good, looks good.
I don't have anything bad to say about the sportlines but i'm just relaying what the shop told me about it. They told me they used to carry both, however, they dropped the sportlines due to complains/returns/replacement by owners.

sporty is just really nicesporty is just really nicesporty is just really nice
i'm on prokits and i like the way they ride.the wife on the other hand says it rides rough.i could just imagine what it would be like with the sportlines..i have hit some small bumps here and there and even though i like the prokits.sometimes even THEY, can become a lil harsh.handling is superb though with the prokit compared to stock springs and i'm still glad i have them.

Im on prokits, ride is a little rough compared to stock but thats to be expected. It looks good, handles extremely well. I really dont see the need to go any lower.

check out RRE or autocity imports... believe both sites have the Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs, which are available for the 4 cyl.

does having stabilizer bars do much of a difference?

you already have stabilizer bars. those are "upgraded" and a waste for street driving

coilovers are by far the better way to go...Tein SS coilovers are the one's I keep hearing about for our cars.....

Coilovers are usually a better bet in almost any application....just usually not affordable....

Of course thier better. Is the expense and potential tuning hassle's worth it for a street driven car? I would say not
