I've been working on the cooling aspect of the car and I can't seem to locate an aluminum radiator for my 08 SE... I've seen them for the 05 model eclipses but been hitting a dead end.

Can someone point me in the right direction for this project?

Thanks!

If you find please let me know, rRE has one on thir car. I've been asking them for years if I can buy one or if they can tell me what car it came off of. I had one from a 240sx years ago that they mad work but in not sure how much modifications are needed. I've been looking into evo 8 radiators. Outlets and sizes are pretty close. I have the specs, I'll try to get them uploaded in a minute.

Yeah, I've been looking at the evo setup also and the only thing that worries me about it is how it will line-up with the oem mounts. I might have to look to Japan and see what they're doing.

Mounts are easy to move. Any one tha can weld aluminum can alter that in 10 minutes. Mm the size is close the hose locations are close. It's thicker but that shouldn't matter and jus have two brackets welded to mint the ac condenser.

Oddly my GT doesn't have the trans cooler built into the rad but that's a $49 fix at any auto parts store for a aux cooler.

I reached out to Autocityimports and got this reply: You can email our Mitsubishi rep at jason@autocityimports.com. He can help you with all your questions.

So, maybe this will help the both of us. I think he's the same dude that has vids on YouTube that really helped when I did my spark plugs. Anyway, I'm gonna email him now.

We just might have to go that route... just got an email from Jason this morning and no one makes it for our platform. Custom is the only way to go and I find it odd that the V6 is looked over as far as cooling is considered. I'll look into the Evo 8 also.

When a radiator gets a hole or clogged you can get it record. I don't know if that's an option with all the plastic on our radiator, but that would be cost effective option.

Biggest benefit in looking for is cooling. 5/8" core vs 2" and the aluminim tanks will also abdorb the heat better then the plastic (and look cooler). You can get eBay aluninum rads for $100 or a name brand, meghan or full blown, for $200. Koyo $350. Plus the samco hoses fir the evo8 and $60 cheaper then ours.

Ok so to make this work the driver side pins will for in the stock mounts. You needs to have the passenger side bottom pin moved to fit the stick mount and you also have to move the draincock. Both not a big deal to any good welder. So all we need is the top passenger mount and for that we'll hopefully all we'll need is one of these....

To make this work you need any evo8 aluminum radiator. I chose a koyo r7626

First leave everything on the driver side of the radiator alone. You'll need to add these two brackets to the bottom to hold our stock fan.

The far top driver side fan mount will be a starting point and but you need to add in for the other side

To top stock mount will be used but the rubber need to be shortened

Add two bungs to the front for the ac condensor

Use a universal mount for the top passenger mount

Any you'll neeed to move the botttom passenger mounting pin to match the stock mount and move the draincock so its not in the way...
