Well he's just too cocky, so if we do race and i do lose ill never hear the end of it lmao, but if i'm certain ill win i wouldn't hesitate, i don't mind losing. Can't win them all, but i hate cocky pricks.

NOOOOO!!! Not AGAIN!!! This type of thread is driving me crazy!! At least put a good title on it so people like me don't waste our time with it. If you name your thread GT vs. _______, I will think that you are going to talk about a real race, if you name your thread Can my GT beat __________? Then I won't read it and won't make this type of comments on it. Go read the rules, they state that you post real races that had happened, not this kind of thread. Sorry for being a little rough, but it is the truth.

 

I raced a WRX last night as I was heading down I95. I was a bit worried since I heard that WRX's are a higher tier type sports car. So we both rolled at 20, and then we slammed down the accelerator. The WRX pulled me almost instantly and he was off. 4 miles later as I hit 129 I was just barely behind him and when I reached 131 I was almost level with him. Then I stopped because the speed was making my steering wheel shake a little and I lost my cool. At any rate, the WRX beat me but not too badly and I was a GS.

 

^^ That and you were both tapped anyways. I'm pretty sure the 2000-10+ WRX is limited at just over 130, same as us (unless of course it was imported from the UK which supposedly bumps up the limiter to 140).

 

Why are people so afraid to race if there's a chance they might lose? Why not just go & see how good of a driver you are. If the challenger is technically a faster car, but has a crappy driver....you just might win.
I haven't had a real challenge yet (only 2 races so far........2-0 BTW), but I wouldn't back down from a race even if it was against a car that definitely should beat me.
Just do it & find out, so that us that are hoping to read about a race can actually read about a race & not about someone who's only gonna race if they can win. Because if that' the only time you do it........enjoy beating all the Neons & Cavaliers in your area.

Just go race him man. Winning and Losing are part of racing.

Ask for a roll...because he'll take you if he can launch/drive that thing.

Should be close rolling. But after you have to ask for the roll...just put your head down in shame.

 

Yeah. The WRX will smoke you if raced from a stand-still. A roll is the best way to keep race.

What all does his WRX have done to it? The 11's are no joke and WRX can mod pretty heavy pretty easy. My old GT with intake exhaust and LSD felt appreciably (but not drastically) slower than the '11 wrx i tried. Though it's still close enough it could be a driver's race. If you do, only try from a roll and find out if he knows what brake boosting is.

My advice is if you do race him, he will more than likely win. Just make fun of him for having an ugly box car without a kickass sound system. I very sorely miss my old stock RF sound and those hatches are hideous. Not a single woman I know likes the way they look. Just say, "good for you. i'm sure the dudes are all over you."

 

Especially the STI. Those cars are scary fast when modded.
As far as I go, it was a newer WRX. Probably 09-10 from what I could tell by the tail-lights and spoiler. I'm not sure if it was an STI but my lights did shine on something red on his trunk. At any rate, thank you so much for the compliment

Yes, the truth is spoken right here. At the end of the day; ladies love our cars. Those sexy curves and nice big ass pull the babies all day and all night. The wrx hatchback....not so much.

 

Wow so no one has really raced a 11 well let me tell you I can launch and my buddy had an 11 and at launch he still gets me but i will catch him and past him every time and his is stock so as long as u can launch a lil you'll catch him around the 1/4 mile
