I have a 2008 eclipse with the 4cly engine. having what seemed at first to be a starter problem where it would try to turn over and sound like it was shorting out, no smoke or anything I could detect. wiggling the key did not really help.
It got progressively worse and at one point now the air bag light stays on. I replace the starter and the ignition switch and still the same results.
I had read that a faulty clockspring may be the cause of the airbag light, would this also cause the starting issues? also when I was turning the key to start it and it was flaking out it would progressively lower the driver window and then it would go up to full height? at a lost at what to look for now
Thanks for any help
John
