I’ve been reading up on some threads regarding aftermarket taillights. What I gathered is that most/all of the aftermarket taillights are a headache to deal with. From the wiring frying out to incorrect fitment.

Anyone have any updated info/recommendations on some black housing taillights? Or am I just better off trying to tint/smoke them? I also read that opening up the taillight is a pain. Help appreciated.

Illumaesthetic makes awesome kits but its a lot of work and is time consuming.

I know the Illumaesthetic lights are amazing but I have only seen 1 person on instagram manage to get them to work and it definitely does not look like a DIY type of job xD

@4GKeon I've had the kit sitting in my room for about a year now trying to figure out a voltage drop issues with a sequential led control module so I haven't been getting to building them recently lol I need to.

Haha! I just finished alot of the wiring for one of the lights today. I had to have been sent faulty sequential modules so I just wired them as regular blinking taillights without sequentials, I was tired of fussing with it tho I couldn't even get the sequentials to barely make the leds light up in the first place so it'll be nice to even have them in the car after a year and a half anyways. I can make a post as I build them tho! They look awesome.

Update: I ordered new sequential modules after talking to a taillight business on Instagram about my modules I had. He said the ones I was trying to use failed him 4 times so hopefully these new modules wire up easy and look awesome.
