Hello!
My issue is that everything works fine on the temprature control unit ( fan speed, blower direction) except the temperature. When I put the knob at max heat I get max heat but anything else, I get the same warmish temp. It does not matter if I put ac on or off. I recently asked a mechanic to check if my ac was leaking but it was fine and he filled it. Right now, I am pretty sure the problem is electrical and that I need to change the temperature control unit but I want to know if there is a way to be sure it is the issue before I buy a 150$ piece. Thanks!

If there is an A/C fault code would I get a check engine light because I don't? I took apart the glove box compartment and nothing seemed stuck unless the temperature control is hidden.
I got number dials. I think I might go to a kenny u pull to get one. I am not sure it will work but they sell them 30$. I am only concerned because I read that it might need to be programmed.
I had a similar issue. There is an actuator under the dash, passenger side, on the side of the heater unit. This is the HVAC Air Adjustment control motor. It controls the air mix between heat and A/C.
Live data on the A/C module can show commanded percentage position of a blend door and what the potentiometer is seeing for that blend door, so you can see how closely (or not) that they match
