Hello,
I purchased eclipse gt 2006 like a year ago.

Previous owner did some mods back in times (likely back in ~2009) like halo lights, anti theft alarm, xenon on fogs.
So my issue is that fog lights are always on. The only way to turn them off - take off relay for fogs or take off front ECU.

I checked wires and all looks stock. On dash I can light up fog light icon and turn it off with stock button but this does not control fog lights themselves.

Of course I also tried to use different relay (from horn) but this did not help.

Front ECU looks ok inside, nothing burnt. But it has some corrosion on pins, but not sure if that can do short circuit fog light since all important in ECU is waterproof.

Also googling did not help.

Second issue is with interior lights. I have lights on mirror and on ceiling. Ceiling light has door open mode which works, but are mirror lights supposed to work with doors?
Besides that I know that sunroof gets off as soon as door is opened, but power windows are working no matter what, is that ok?
Along with power windows working, mirror lights never get off even if I lock car with stock central lock.

Please let me know if any of you had similar issues..

Regards

Update on this - fog lights fixed. Purchased front ecu from scrap yard and now fogs work fine. The only visual difference is that I bought black ecu from galant and I have red originally. But part number is same.

Anyone knows about interior lights?

Hey I'm curious. So many of us would love to have our fogs on and unaffected by the brights. Did you figure out how that was possible cuz there are numerous posts with people trying to get their fogs to stay on when they hit the brights. I'm one of them 🙋

It was possible because old front ecu has short circute somewhere. Fogs were enabled even when engine is off and key is out and car is locked.

But it is definitely very easy to do with extra relay and switch or even piece of wire. This will override ecu light control.
If you do not care about dash fog icon and want to have fogs working always with head light, then you can modify your fuse box by adding extra control wire to fog light relay. Take off stock fog control wire and add new control wire from any head light wire which you prefer (if headlight fuse is not working without light, then use it, otherwise do control wire from bulb wires).
As result when you turn on main lights you will also turn on standard fog relay (with standard fog fuse).
