Been searching for a while to find other options for the header to my 2009 GT V6 ... Rather than the common option RRM ... Still couldn't find..
I just wondering what is the difference between 6G75 header and the old engine 6G73 3.0 L engine ... Have anyone herr tried to fit one before !!
They are way to cheaper !!!

Your only options are RRE shorties or OBX long. That's it.

I know people want to be different with their builds, but unless you want food grade stainless steel eBay headers with bungs that dont match up and will die in 5k miles, your options are limited. There just isn't as much of an aftermarket for our car anymore.

Like Marty said, OBX are hit or miss. RRE is the safest bet, but if you're really dying for long tubes, you can get the OBX.

I think I read somewhere that the 6g74 manifolds match right up to the 6g75 (that's how someone went about their turbo build), but I think they had smaller piping diameter [maybe?]. Again, I can't back that up, but I will try to find the thread. And I'm not sure about the fitment. Nor am I sure if the aftermarket headers will fit properly. And if they do, and they have smaller pipe diameters, you'll probably lose power because of the restricted airflow. I'm gonna play devils advocate here. I've read reviews about OBX headers being better than RRE, and vice versa. I think it's really discretionary. With longtubes, you get more power at higher RPMS, where as the shorties will have more power across a larger powerband, but have a lower peak HP. I guess it depends on what your goals are.

Quite disappointing...when you have only two options ... I have also heard Obx sounds very loud ... Which is something might prevent me from renewing the registration of my car in Dubai.

I am searching currently with some Malaysian manufacturers as some companies are producing this header ... Will let you know if i managed to get any new info

Problem is ... After installing the CAI DC ... Car started to be very loud when pushing after 3500 rpm ... I dont want to go to jail lol

I just need to finalize what i am going to do in the exhaust before going for tuning ... It's going to be a track car ... So i have to be careful with the powerband ... Normally in tracks ... I dont need more than 3rd gear

I am planning for semi slicks as well as i have horrible wheel spin !!
