I should be checking all of them because I have a leak in my power steering and can be the reason why smoke appears randomly when I drive

The zip tie is on a dust boot. No big deal if it were on nice.

But PS fluid on the exhaust is quite smoky for sure, so a good thought.

Yeah the zip tie just holds the boot on. A worm gear pipe band would be preferred but a zip tie works fine in a pinch. Just a side note though, but it looks like the transmission flange is missing a few bolts. Hopefully my eyes are just bad or the bolts are put in from the back side of the flange. I can't remember the bolt patterning on the bell housing so they very well could be just fine and put in from the other side, i'unno.
