The Eclipse has been my dream car since I first tricked it out on Need for Speed :naughty:. I finally went ahead and bought my 2010 Eclipse GS-Sport this past December; I've been working on it non-stop since then.
It's gotten to the point where I think it's dope enough for me to start a build thread.... so here ya go.

When I first bought this car, I focused on maintenance and winter-proofing prior to modding. This spring I've been focusing on cosmetic mods... cuz what's the point of a fast car if the ladies don't like it? So far, this is what I've done:

- New Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires
- Black Motegi racing 19" rims
- Painted all logos and gas cap gloss black
- Full paint touch-up and restoration. Notice how perfect my Sunset Pearl looks for a ~10 year old car. Used Meguiar's DA polisher kit.
- Swapped all interior lights for Ice Blue LEDs
- LED fog light conversion ...still need to find a way to mount my fogs on my aftermarket bumper below....
- AIT Racing Blackout-3 body kit install and custom paint job(AKA "Eternity Style"). I ended up returning the rear bumper because it looked lame IRL and the sideskirts because they were a bad fit. Sooo basically I just have the Blackout-3 bumper installed (with a custom paint job though!). I went to the best body shop in this area for the bumper install and got it painted at a high-end paint shop... so it came out looking amazing!

There are still a couple of cosmetic mods I'd like to do (mainly an aftermarket hood), but I am going to start working on performance mods next. I've been hoarding a lot of parts over the past couple of months and plan on doing as much work by myself as possible. Here are the mods I'll have knocked out by the end of the summer:

- RRE header (already purchased & heat wrapped)
- PBR AXXIS performance rotor and brake pad kit (already purchased)
- New spark plugs and ignition coils (already purchased)
- RRE axle-back exhaust x2 (need to purchase)
- Coil-over kit (maybe, maybe not)

By the end of 2020 I'd like to have my Eclipse at GOD LEVEL. The big mod that I want to knock out early next year will be a turbo or supercharger kit (whatever I can find for a decent price first lol). Let me know what you guys think and any suggestions you might have. I'm an IT guy not a car guy... so let me know if there are some mods I should give higher priority to or avoid completely.

I love that front bumper. I just wish the oem fog lights worked with the bumper
Man tell me about it lol. Ironically, AIT Racing sells fog light adapters for the Blackout-1 and Blackout-2 bodykits.... but not the Blackout-3 :hahano:

Thanks to Havik's advice though I should be able to fab some mounting brackets this weekend. We'll see how it goes lol

My RRE Headers Are Installed!

Finally installed my RRE headers this weekend!

First of all........ damn that was a lot of work!!! I think it was a mix of it being hot as hell this weekend, the rust on my 9 year old car, and the fact that I'm an amateur when it comes to cars.

Overall, the swap itself was quick; I just spent 75% of the time trying to battle the rusty bolts and O2 sensors. Not only that, but my exhaust collector bolts were beyond saving... so I had to spend 30 mins in Home Depot searching for matching bolts/nuts. I'm going to update this forum's how-to thread about the RRE header install with the bolts/nuts sizes to save everyone else a pain in the ass.

I've noticed a significant power gain!!! My stock manifold was in bad condition (starting to clog and throw catalytic efficiency errors), so these headers made a big difference. Also gave my exhaust a deeper, gravely tone. The only issue so far is a check engine light from my lower O2 sensors. I wasn't able to remove them (literally stripped the O2 tool trying to get them off), so I'm going to have my local shop remove them for me and throw the spacers in.

Check out the pics! And peep the orange enamel paint job ; )

Installed LED Grille Kit & New HID Xenon Headlights

Some cool updates on my Eclipse:

Finally installed the PlasmaGlow LED Grille Kit! When I installed my aftermarket bumper we had to disconnect my foglights (left the wiring in place). I spliced the LED strips into my foglight wiring and mounted them along the side grille openings on my bumper. It came out crazy dope; looks like the white LEDs on the newer Mercedes Benzs. They literally look like they came stock on the vehicle... plus I can operate them with my stock foglight button!!!

Also swapped out my stock HID Xenon headlights since my driver's side light died last week. Researched the shit out of the best possible replacement Xenon lights and went with OSRAM XENARC Cool Blue Intense. These lights are WAYYYY brighter than I expected, they blow the stock HIDs (which were already pretty bright) out of the water!!! You can tell from the attached pics. Going to write up a short How To on swapping the HID lights since it was a pain in the ass and I couldn't find a guide anywhere.

Thanks Tee! I would definitely recommend the PlasmaGlow LED Grille kit. If you have the stock foglights then it's only a 5-10 minute install. If not, you can just buy the foglight wiring harness & interior button or use the switch button that's included in the kit.

Also... "Modelesque" is player, going to have to start using that word more often lol.
