I decided to take out more interior panels out of my 2008 Eclipse GT and weigh them for you guys in case anyone is interested in the numbers. You should also check out the original post for weight reduction here: Weight Reduction

Here's everything I took out:
Center hood vents: .12lbs each
Glove box: 3.4lbs
Radio unit: 5lbs
Windshield pillars: .74lbs each
Tweeter speakers: .18lbs each
Glove box bars: .82lbs and .54lbs
Lower steering wheel column cover: 1.06lbs
Upper steering wheel column cover: .20lbs
Not sure what these are called, but they're under the dash by pedals.
.54 lbs each
Passenger side air bag: 5.86lbs
Rockford Fosgate: .80lbs
Side vent cover: .20lbs each
Dome digital dash: .96lbs
Rear speakers: 4lbs total
Sirius radio: 1.7lbs
Rear pillar covers: .56lbs each
Headliner: 4lbs

Total weight removed: 33.02lbs

My goal is to make it as light as possible with AC still in place. I will be replacing the seats next with lighter 23lbs seats, and I will also weigh the CF hood and hatch and compare the difference with stock once they're delivered. Stay tuned.

So how's the car look with all that removed? Is it a track car?

I know my buddy's STi swapped Impreza RS had to have the A/C completely gutted because of the swap and he left out all of the A/C stuff and ripped out all of it behind the dash and left the glovebox off, and it sure felt weird to ride in that passenger seat with everything exposed haha

I sure hope this isn't a street car with the airbag system purposely disabled and tampered with.... You'd need to reinstall that passenger airbag and the little clock thing again

I should have put our old & new hoods on the scale. The difference in weight between the OEM hood and our new VIS carbon fiber one is massive! Great improvement all around.

Unfortunately no, and I should've. I use this site instead to determine how much HP was gained with the weight removed. If my calculations are correct, all the total weight taken off equates to about a 12.5HP gain. That added with the CAI and muffler/res delete is a pretty fun combo. I beat a modded E36 M3 with just these mods.
