So i got a spyder gt for my birthday but it has 200K+ miles i was curious as to should i get a engine swap, or should i keep running the same engine. It has a automatic transmission and i was going to change it to a standard transmission.
The conversion requires so many parts off the manual you're definitely better off selling the auto and buying a manual instead if that's what you want.
As for the engine, just keep driving it. I'm sure it's been changed before, but make sure the timing belt is up to date. It's due to have its third timing belt now. That's what's going to kill the engine most likely is missing timing belt maintenance. The bearings and rings have lasted people over 200k miles many times
