You can get hot wax undercoating if the car has never been driven in salt, or you're 100% sure the underbody is clean. If there's salt under the wax it'll rot holes in steel. But if there isn't, it seals it off. I've still got original wax on my 2005 truck's frame, and my GS was wax coated by the first owner too.I said the same thing years ago and ended up buying another 4g not even 4 years after I got rid of my first one. However, I'm actually in the same boat of considering getting rid of my current one again but this time after 11 years of ownership. When I bought my CLS63 in 2019 and had expectations that I'd drive it all the time but I can't get myself to drive it in Ohio salt after seeing the underbody of some of our other cars and I finally sold my "practical" car after almost 10 years and 204k miles. Just now playing the interest rate waiting game. Good luck with your new car journey!

Or you can look into Cosmoline's products. They've got dips and brush on coatings that'll last for god knows how long and are hard to remove. If you buy a surplus far eastern rifle from 80 years ago, odds are that's the coating on it. Very tough stuff to break through and remove. Basically anything that removes it effectively also removes your clear coat, paint, and primer.
I was thinking for your 2019.I did Woolwax on my 2010 Tundra when I bought it new. The problem is I rarely buy brand new, in the past 20 years, I've only bought 3 vehicles brand new and only kept 1 past 40k miles (that was my accord sport I just sold with 204k). This 4g I have now was NOT taken care of by its previous owner. We had the transmission warrantied before 45k miles that's how bad they beat this car and it was a northern Ohio car. I didn't buy my CLS brand new, it had around 28k miles on it and was sold from Pittsburgh PA but the owner moved to Boca Raton so we bought it from FL. All I know is it is clean to me.
My CLS63 is a 2016 not a 19, I bought it as a CPO / lease return in 2019 and it was originally sold in a state with snow so I don't know it's full history to coat it now. It looks clean to me but that is just stuff I see, that car is so covered in plastic. Like I said, I rarely buy brand new cars.I was thinking for your 2019.
