I'm going to try to program a key I'm buying off of ebay. I've watched some videos on a series of key presses that program the key. Hold the lock and unlock button for 3 flashes. Then the unlock button for one flash. Jw if this is possible and if it will delete my current key. I just want another key for a spare. Thanks.

That doesn’t work for this car, the procedure to program the fob buttons involves putting a paper clip jumper in between two pins on the OBD port and pushing the hazard button in a certain way and then programming all the fobs

That won’t do anything to the immobilizer tho so the key still won’t start your car

If you have two or more programmed keys already, you can do the steps in the manual with both keys and the new one to program it

If you only have one or the two you have are actually RFID clones of each other and appear to the car as one key then you need someone with a scan tool that can access the immobilizer key functions, a dealer always can, good key shops, maybe your mechanic, etc

I sadly have one key. I’d really like to get another. Especially because my FOB looks like a dog chewed it (presumably when the battery was changed? I dunno).

Any experiences on going to the stealership to get replacements? Other ideas?

One of my spare keys does not turn the engine over on my car. It unlocks the door fine and turns the car on in the ignition, but the car doesn't start. My other spare, my original, and my valet key all work. Anyone know what might have happened to the one key that doesn't???
