I was looking into opening my tail lights and painting them glossy black so I can remove the plasti dip I tinted them with. It's really hard to see them now they have faded and I wanted to go a different route. Has anyone ever done that with the taillights? If it wouldn't look good then I'll just use tint this time lol
I've read of people that end up ruining their OEM taillights. You can look around ebay or ACI and find them with the blacked out housing or you can use actual taillight tint. I've tinted mine red. It was a similar method to Sabertooths link
I did nightshade, then clearcoated them the next day. Take a close look at the lights and you'll see some marks on them from molding. Try sanding them off first, as the tint makes them show up a lot more. I regret not sanding mine off first
