Ok i just want to make a poll to find out what our cars top out at. I keep hearing 130, 134, 135, 139, 140, 150, 160, and even 210:noplease: but this is how were gonna clear thing up and no making shit up like i went 180 mph one time but wasn't able to do it again just be real.

Did you not read *ANYTHING* from the other thread you created? You were repped down for a reason. These forums are full of information on performance tuning and information about the 4G ECU. Use the search button. Spoon feeding is only cute when you are a couple months old...

the answer is......NO
there is currently no way to remove the speed limiter from your car, unless you happen to have gotten lucky enough to get one that either wasn't turned on or set very high......I had mine up to 156........or just a crack past the 155 mark, and my rev limiter kicked in, I ran out of hp........apparently you did not get one of these "broken" ones......

i will accept this challange, because i am one of those people who went past 140mph. cause the first and only time i've done it i got scared when my Gov kicked in, I didnt know how fast i was goin, i thought my car was gonna shut down, and then i noticed my speedometer coming off from 145. so even though i dont agree going that fast on the streets, i will take this challange and get it on video. cause maybe i was so startled i might of looked at the guages wrong cause going that fast i didnt want to take my eyes off the road, so i want to find out myself for sureThe whole point of this thread was to prove that no one has gone faster then 135 mph in a 4g so for all of u who say u went faster PROVE IT.

The speedo can be off, and the computer doesn't look at it so you could still be only going 136 mph.

This is a important point that most people seem to ignore. Lets make it really clear.
SPEEDOS ARE NOT 100% ACCURATE. JUST BECAUSE IT SAYS 140MPH OR 150MPH OR WHATEVER DOESN'T MEAN YOUR CAR IS NOT LIMITED AT EXACTLY 135MPH
Get over it people. Get out the dataloggers and show me an ECU reading over +-135mph and you'll have proved something.

today my speedo was showing 220 km/h and my Garmin GPS recorded a max speed of 210 km/h... which one is off??? i'd say the speedo more than the GPS...
i didnt get a chance to really push it, but she goes up there fairly fast anyway!! it's just frustrating...

I'd say the speedo is more accurate but generally both are not a very good way to judge your exact speed.
Who really cares about 4-5 kph though?

A Speedo is considered "accurate" from the factory at +/- 7mph. Not to mention the fact that different sized tires from stock as well as how old the car is will effect the accuracy.

My GT used to cut off at 136, no more than that... After i took off the governor (recalibratre the chip) I've done only one time 156mph. but dunno how much the car goes.
