So I have an 07 GT Spyder... the top will come down but the cover won’t come down if the top is down. But if the top is up, the cover will come down. When I try to put the top down the top will go down and the motor will make a much deeper whirring noise but won’t let the cover close. I’m trying to find out if there’s a way to fix it or if there’s a way to manually open and close it

I do think that a full system scan tool can read convertible top computer faults? I know it can do sunroof faults maybe the sunroof scan includes convertible tops

Autel DiagLink DIY on amazon for ~$100 can do it if u don’t wanna pay that much to have the dealer or a mechanic with a good scan tool read out the systems for u, then u have it to use forever
Dealer will make u pay $140 just to scan out the systems one time, might as well buy your own to scan and reset stuff forever
