Can you use a older eclipse transmission in a 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse gs 2.4l 5 speed Kf5m422v5p..if so what year transmission please help

I've read that the bell housing on the 4g63 is the same as the 4g69. The evo 8 transmission supposedly can bolt up to our engines, but the 1g and 2g engines are oriented opposite of ours in the engine bay so I'm not sure if those would work. If you're looking to do a tranny swap, I would suggest looking into the evo 8 trans, but with that you may have to do the full awd swap. I know I've been looking into it for later on, but I'm not 100% on it working. I think there may be a youtube video or 2 on it. Maybe a couple threads, but I suggest just doing some research on it.
