I have the stock GS wheels on my 4G still and a couple months ago the two passenger side rims became extremely dirty and discolored. I thought it was just regular brake dust at first but when I tried to wash it off it didn't go away at all. It looks like some sort of metallic coating on the rims and it will not come off. I plan to get new rims soon anyway, but for the time being I wanted to see if I could fix these. Could I just Plasti Dip over them? The curb rash is thanks to my mom :rant2:
try a more abrasive scrubber...I like to use those plastic donut scrubby things for doing dishes from the dollar store...they are more abrasive than a cloth, but won't damage the finish...also try like mild solvent on a tiny test spot...looks like brake dust stains to me, if you let it sit, it can be really hard to get rid of...
Okay thanks for the help guys! I figured it had something to do with the brake dust sitting so long. The previous owner didn't seem to give a single shit about her so now I gotta clean her up and fix everything :/ thanks again!
