What's a good cleaner for the painted valve cover? Trying to get the deep oil and grime stains off without stripping the red paint. I don't want to polish til I get as clean as possible.

watered down dish soap or some gold glass in a spray bottle for light spritzing and a rag+small plastic brush to get the grime out, then another spray bottle with straight water for rinsing and a clean rag to soak up the water and remaining soap
