I dont even remember my last times... damnit...

14.1@103mph I think... thats the last trip when my Stage1 from clutchmasters took a shit on me.

#3 ·
My newest time on the G-tech....today infact... is a 13.8 @ 106mph with a 2.3 60' time and a 5.5 0-60 time....

As soon as I get some DR's a tune and a clutch I'm hedding down to commerse to do a 1/4 run so I'm hopping for high twelves!!

So you might want to add a 12xx onto the GT section :)

Great idea Kev :)

Might wanna bump that up to a 17.xx on the GT also, for those of us who end up doing a smoking awesome 60ft burnout of 7 secs or so...

#7 ·
We need to make a dyno queen sticky also... I don't miss gears and chew up clutches on the dyno...

Yup, 13.5@104MPH, thanks Jeep Boy. Its an '07 GT, 6-speed, and no F/I. No someone hurry up and run a faster time before the season ends, I've been the quickest one since like march. And I'm pretty much just I/H/E. Also don't know if he's over here but Hahano ran a 13.8 at 102 in his 6-speed GT.

I'll do my best next year, but track season ended a few weeks ago for MN.

I'm planning on getting a tune in the spring, so after that I might have a chance.

1/4 Mile Leaderboard #2

I'm not sure why the Leaderboard is now a closed thread but I don't mind starting up a new one.

I ran one run down the track last weekend. I didn't get a second run becouse i got there late and un-prepaired. It was a spur of the moment kinda thing.

Well I thought i had spun the water of the tires but i guess i didn't a very good job and i spun off the line... spun second let off the gass coasted a bit and it finaly grabed 3rd after a little bit more of spinning. The run was fucked from the start but on stock bald and spinning tires i still ran a 18.3 at a WHOOPING 107 mph, LOL! I didn't catch traction till after the 1/8th which was a horrible 13.0 .

I have a fealing I might have the N/A side of things in check, LOL. I just need some D/R's and a nice day to get some real track runs. lol

Traction, Traction, Traction... WTB: Traction... LOL!

i always heat my tires.

i was cutting a 2.0 60ft.

but i broke my motor mount last trip.

You can't realy drive around the box at VA Motorsports... you can hit the shallow end but thats about it. I didn't heat them up i just spun the water off.... but i think i might have had oil or somthing on my tires. Two cars had to be pushed off the track before my run and i'm thinkin i got screwed.

Let me put it like this.... i spun so bad that i didn't even know i was spinning. At first i thought i had missed the gear and then once it did it again in 3rd i was thinkin "OH SHIT... I broke somthing", becouse all it did was rev up to redline instantly when i hit the pedal. Thats why i droped it in Netrual and paused a sec before trying 3rd again. Of course i couldn't hear anything thanks to the car in the other lane. Over all it was a horrible pass...

I wasn't prepaired... i have factory tires with 28K miles on them... have yet to rotate them or anything... and i was just doing it spur of the moment with my cousin. It was his first run down the track ever in his str4. I was there supporting him and just kinda ran my car for a quick pass to get a rough estimate. I just was suprised to see a 107 trap. LOL Last night was raining but durring the week i'm gona find some tires and hopfully run again this friday. I realy wanta see what i can get out of her now.

I've already starting gutting the car... got rear seats to take out and i'll be taking the passanger seat out as well. LOL

Its gona be a good run or i'll break something. One way or anouther.

You better run it again fucker, I've been trying to get you to run it forever. I came back from a year absence on this board for it!!! Don't make me drive down there and unleash some DSM pwnage on you, 4g63 FTW!!!

I've always been told that you should NEVER hit the water box on street tires. Street tires are generally a harder compound, and do not hold or generate heat well at all (comparatively speaking). Burnouts on street tires basically trashes the tread and can even chunk.

Drag radials and such are designed with heat cycling in mind and are much softer, allowing the tire to come up to temp and get sticky quick. There is a big difference in the two. If heating street tires has worked for you then go for it, but you won't catch me in the box beatin on my stockies.
