I have a pretty significant oil leak on the top of the engine on the drivers side. It leaks down onto the exhaust and causes a significant amount of smoke. I recently replaced the back valve cover and tightened to spec but something still continues to leak. Any help would be appreciated.

Usually its valve cover gasket
That's the only seal above it. Often, people pinch or roll the gaskets when installing them. Torque pattern matters a lot as well
Aside from that, the MIVEC solenoid is the only other source that comes to mind. But neither of them is above a manifold.
