I was wondering if i install this kit will i need to replace any oem parts such as pistons or pulleys. Rather new to modding so PATIENT suggestions encouraged not looking for some prick to give me some dumb answer.:werd::woohoo:
Mexico city turbo eclipse JEZZA has a standalone. I was considering one, and my quote for one was aroud 1,100 for it with two hours of tuning, which I don't think it's a bad deal.Very true because FIC is a piggyback my bad I just couldn't think of any brand specific standalone that people have tried on this car, but has anyone here attempted to go that route?
Just order the blower, the additional pulleys with the shaft, the mounting brackets, and the piping from them.THE RIPPMODS KIT COMES WITH ONE OF THOSE HERES THE LINK TO THE SITE TELL ME IF THERE IS ANYTHING ELSE ILL NEED BESIDE THE INTERCOOLER 2006 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT RIPP Complete Supercharger Kit Stage 1
I live for that quote. You gotta pay to play!Damn I had no idea Jezza had a standalone, that man came in here breaking barriers since day one. I don't think that price is too bad of a deal, you have to pay to play... Especially with these damn 4th gens
YesWould the rre f/ic work
That's huge...you have to loose 3-5psi with that thing...those are ment for like 30+psi Evo or GTREasier and cheaper, and I wanna say that ripp has to deal with it as well because their website offers it with the meth kit.
I have an AMS intercooler. Here is my intercooler.

Yup I'm assuming I'll be losing around 3-5psi with this intercooler, however I'm aiming for 12lbs of boost with the v-3 g blower, stg 2 pulley, and a few pulleys i've already changed. That's huge...you have to loose 3-5psi with that thing...those are ment for like 30+psi Evo or GTR
That's where I'm stuck at. I was trying to run the hot side over the headers, but the fan on the passenger side is on the way, so most likely i'm gonna run it under the header over the crossmember. Are you running the hot side over or under the headers?
Just an FYI the forged pistons on RRE are for a GS. Your info says you have a GT.Ok so im assuming the stage 1 kit from ripp will be ok with the stock pulleys without going over 6 psi ima give them a call tomorrow also ima look into the intercooler although the stage 2 kit comes with that meth cooler and it has the same thing as the stage 1 kit plus a samller pulley that would bring it to 9-11 psi i think i will buy that one then not put on the pulleys until im ready to get the rre forged pistons thanks for the responses pleaz feel free to elaborate more in the thread if u would like
repped.
I was always told his charger doesn't pump enough air to use one. Plus at 6-12 psi you're going to lose 2-3psi depending on you intercooler size. This is kinda OT but why do the people here with superchargers opt for meth ove intercooler? Legit question I'm not saying ones better than the other I'm just curious?
JP you hit it right on the head. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT buy RIPP electronics of any kind...get the AEM F/IC 6 or some other respectable fuel/boost controller. the company that makes the black box doesn't even exist anymore. it NEVER worked for me, and is not tuneable unless you are God.RIPP Tuners Package for V6 vehicles equipped with 2.4 Mivec, 2.7V6 Delta, 3.0V6 6G72, 3.8V6
Wouldn't be better to buy the tuner's package considering the brat box is crap and could save a couple $$$ buying some better parts?
I ran it between the header and the engine since it curves. That's where I'm stuck at. I was trying to run the hot side over the headers, but the fan on the passenger side is on the way, so most likely i'm gonna run it under the header over the crossmember.
