yea your clutch is slipping...clutchmasters makes some (fairly expensive) clutches and you can get SPEC (and a couple other) clutches from ACI. i see if i can get you some links

now do i need a new pressure plate or just the disk or would it be smarter to just get the whole kit?

 

might as well just get the whole thing...I haven't seen just the friction plates for sale...if you are going to be doing any other power adders I would get an aftermarket clutch...I found the stock replacemnt LuK clutch for like $150 but it slips once it gets hot...and I have i/h/e untuned...

 

so what brand than i'm thinking stage 2 or maybe a stage 3 kit but recommended company?

I think you need the clutch that matches up with whatever transmission is in your car,whether it be the original or a modification. Might be the flywheel for the 6g75 though,and just modified to work!

yeah the guy i bought it from put a 3.8 liter mivec in my dodge stratus rt it's weird so i dont even know what parts to shop for check out the pics i got

idk then...the splines on the input shaft to the tranny could be different than the 6spd so you might need a different clutch disc...hopefully someone else can chime in with some more info. I'll try and do some research later for ya though...I'm gonna be at work for another 5hrs or so...

 

Good point.. sick ass car man... its the stock tranny and a lightweight flywheel f1 clutch kit found some old receipts..

 

From what the Guy I bought it from said is that the mivec motor matches right up with the transmission

 

by the sounds of it you would need a 3.8L mivec flywheel/pressure plate with a clutch plate from the stratus so you know 100% they would match up, as long as they arent different diameter discs...

ok so got an answer from a performance shop they said it should be dodge parts because it's a dodge transmission... here is the new question... can i buy a clutch kit of one brand a flywheel of another? both dodge parts different makers...
